An
enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in Eagle Butte,
South Dakota, Sandra Rolshoven Claymore graduated from the University
of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social
Work and Indian Studies. In 1981 she earned a Masters in Public
Health, Public Policy and Health Administration. She also completed
the National Training Laboratories Graduate Student Professional
Development Program in Organizational Development.
Sandra
has worked as a mortgage broker for many years. She has been
developed and implemented new mortgage systems for the community
with Southwestern Mortgage, Norwest Mortgage, Centinel Bank,
and Sundance Mortgage Services; and she currently works with
Peoples Bank. Sandra has a passion for improving healthcare.
She is the Treasurer for the Holy Cross Hospital Foundation
and a member of the Board of Directors for Holy Cross Hospital.
She also serves as Vice President of the Taos Art Museum and
is a former Board Director for the Community Against Violence.
She helps to raise funds for many Taos charitable groups that
call upon her services.
Sandra
is an avid supporter of the western way of life. She is a horse
woman, downhill skier, and world traveler. She lives in the
mountains with her four dogs, one cat, and seven horses. Sandra
is a spiritual leader in her traditional Lakota Sundance Ceremony
and related sacred ceremonies of the Lakota. She has one daughter
who attends Texas A & M University with a major in Business
Finance and Accounting and a full athletic scholarship as a
member of the A & M rodeo team.
Sandra
believes in Holy Cross Hospital and is excited to be part of
